Interesting Trivia about American History
Ever wish you had paid more attention during American history class in school? I know that I do! It wasn't until recently that I have really become interested in my American history. I emphasize the word “my” because as an American, it is my history. I started to realize that there was so much that I either never learned, or that I have forgotten.
The early years surrounding the American Revolution and the founding of America really interests me…
- I love learning about our founding fathers , and everything that happened around the time of the American Revolution.
- I am fascinated with our Constitution and the Declaration of Independence and how relevant it still remains today.
- It's fun to learn historical facts about some of the women in US history, and how they helped shape the country. Reading the quotes by famous women, you get to know a little more about them.
- It's interesting to discover that early American politics weren't much different than they are today
I love discovering new fun facts and trivia about America…
…for instance, the fact that
John Adams and Thomas Jefferson
died on
the same day - July 4, 1826. Exactly 50 years
after both signed the Declaration of Independence.
