My name is Julie, and I started this website so that I could share fun facts, trivia and information about U.S. history.

I'm not a historian by any means, but as I've grown older my appreciation for the good ol' USA has deepened significantly. I especially love to learn about the revolutionary period and the founding of the United States.

I find our founding fathers to be very interesting, as well as our "founding mothers". I've always been interested in politics, and I really enjoy reading about the early years of our country and the politics and politicians that were involved in the founding of America.

A little about me... I'm a stay at home care-giver for my elderly parents. This site was started when I left my full time career to move back to my small home town to care for mom and dad. I needed to find a way to support myself online, and I chose to combine my love of American history and my desire to have a website into this site - American History Fun Facts. This site is supported by advertising and product sales for various history related products and services.
