United States history is filled with fun facts that you may never have learned in school. This site is meant to provide a unique way to learn about history... my goal is to make it fun learning about our Founding Fathers, Presidents and other important men, women and events from history. Look around... you should find plenty to keep you interested and coming back!

It really wasn't until recently that I have become fascinated with my American history and fun, interesting facts about the United States of America. I emphasize the word my because as an American, it is my history. And history often repeats itself.

Just like in current times, there are often interesting tidbits that happen that you might never have known happened, but make the past more "real" for you once you learn them! The men and women in the early years had some of the same desires, needs and hopes that you and I have. Elections were vicious, just like they can be today. Congress argued, Presidents went up and down in the polls. Things really haven't changed all that much.

...at least we don't use duels to settle our differences anymore!

The early years surrounding the American Revolution and the founding of America really intrigues me...

  • I love learning about America's founding fathers, and everything that happened around the time of the American Revolution.
  • I am fascinated with the how the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Independence and other historical documents are still so relevant in today's world.
  • It's fun to learn fun trivia facts about some of the women in US history, and how they helped shape the country. Reading famous quotes by women from American history, you feel like you get to know a little more about them, based on their own words.
  • It's interesting to discover that early American politics weren't much different than they are today

I love discovering new, interesting history trivia and fun facts about American history

for instance, the fact that John Adams and Thomas Jefferson
died on the same day - July 4, 1826. Exactly 50 years
after the Declaration of Independence was adopted.

If I learned that in school, I forgot about it, and I think it's interesting!

Let's take a break for a little silliness...

Now... back to more serious stuff (not too serious, though!)...

I do not pretend to be a historian...but I do have a passion for U.S. history and American politics, and I hope to pass on some fun facts that you will enjoy.
