  • 1943: Assigned as commander of the patrol torpedo boat, the PT109
  • 1944: Awarded the Purple Heart
  • 1946: Elected Congressman from the 11th district in Massachusetts
  • 1952: Became US Senator
  • 1953: Married Jacqueline Bouvier
  • 1956: Published Profiles in Courage
  • 1957: Won the Pulitzer Prize for biography for "Profiles in Courage"
  • 1958: Won re-election to the US Senate
  • 1960: Elected President of the United States
  • 1961: JFK is inaugurated on January 20, 1961
  • 1961: Established the Peace Corps
  • 1963: John F Kennedy is assassinated in Dallas, TX on November 22nd.
