LineTime, the winner of the 2011 Appbackr hack-a-thon, has just hit the App Store as a universal app and we'd love for you to check it out. LineTime is a drop-dead gorgeous, smoothly scrollable and zoomable timeline of history using Wikipedia data and images.

You can pinch to smoothly zoom out to get an overview of centuries, zoom in to individual days and tap events to see Wikipedia's description of the event. It's super intuitive and gives you a "feel" for the flow of historical events that is virtually impossible with older forms of history visualization.
