President Reagan Read the Comics First

Great question, Jo! The only reference I found in regards to which President read the comic first is this:

In an interview with Mike Wallace, President Ronald Reagan mentioned that he read the comics first, then the serious news sections of the newspaper.

This interview aired on September 25, 2002. You can read the transcript here.
